Has anyone on here been affected by the floods ? Where I live we are quite high up so we have been lucky, I just hope that the rest of the RIBnet members have not been to badly affected by this bad weather.

Everything in my workshop is currently stacked 3ft off the floor. The water is 4 inches from entering the building at the moment, it peaked late this afternoon and has stayed the same for the last few hours. Keeping a close watch on the EA website and webcams from home.

It's pretty wet around here - Hants/Wilts border. Very nice gastro pub down the road is flooded. Ironically opposite Mr Ramseys place. Few roads flooded (glad I've got a Landy - took great joy in driving through the "road closed" signs.)
Here's a shot of our garden during the July floods. This Sunday we were too busy to take photos You can normally walk under the sluice gates
Our car parking area is laid out as a bowl with a sump hole in the middle into which goes the water pump suction hose. The pump did the job which confirms yet again: all the best toys have piston engines
