Firework display crew wanted

Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes on a professional firework display? This could be your chance to find out.

I'm looking for some crew to work on displays on November 4th and 5th, mainly around the south east of England. The company is based in Dartford, Kent.

No experience is required, as you will be assisting qualified pyrotechnicians. You will, however, need to be comfortable with heavy manual work and willing to follow instructions.

If you're interested then drop me a line

John

I reckon I've found an ideal candidate for you! This guy's stupid enough to follow any instruction you give him!

I am gutted. I haven't got rich all of a sudden, and my hometown is Dartford (so could have visited the parents for the first time in 3 months!) but it's the student sailing nationals!

That's right, I'm sailing. And I've just admitted it on a rib forum...

JK,

How do you become a "qualified Pyrotechnician" fireworks have fascinated me, I'd love to learn how to make the more interesting ones. The girlfriend has always said its better to have had a few really good bangs than a series of poor quality, lacklustre efforts that leave one unsatisfied.

I'd enjoy helping out on any midlands based jobs.

We ended up doing 2 shows, one on Friday and one on Saturday. I took the following video with my phone of the first and last bits on Friday's show. This was one of the best displays I have ever seen (video doesn't do it justice). Putting music to it really enhaced it. The orange "thing" in the first video is actually a juggler doing something crazy with fireworks ....
