Ferry reinstated

Good news tonight on the News - the ferry link between Campbelltown and Ballycastle is to run again next year on a twice dailly basis. Excellent for celtic tourism and for people such as us that wish to trailer from one country to the other thereby opening up new cruising areas.
You never now Willk it could be good buiness for you and maybe Redthingy!!
Merry Xmas everybody and a Happy New Year.

No passport control at my favourite landings

And shame on the Ribnetter who takes a ferry from Scotland to Ireland

Still, the ferry has to be good news for all concerned. God knows we could be doing with some!

I don't think it will be able to take your trailer! It looks like they are opperating one of them Redbay boats as the "ferry". Twice a day, Fri Sat Sun Mon in the summer only...

"ferry" inverted commas - WTF?

If it was a Funyak would it be a "fairy"?

Quite a few years ago, when the MacDonalds were getting it tight in the Glens, they would light a big fire on the basalt cliffs. This was the call for the men of Alba to take to the galleys to defend their Western fiefdom. No ferries then...

Because it doesn't conform to my expectation of a ferry, especially given what used to operate on the route.

no if would be f***ing scary - I'd much rather be in the Redbay.

Does that make Willk's an "open top bus".

I prefer the term "Charabanc"

It's more in keeping with my cruising speed
