Of all the PADI divers I've met they all seem to still be learning the basics when diving in the sea to as much as 30m
Yet the standards required for Divemaster and there instructor grades are very high. Had the opportunity to witness both over the years and was quite impressed.

Think the problem is the frequency that many PADI divers actually get wet. Going diving once a year on a holiday means re-leanring skills over and over whilst the BSAC club system encourages diver to do it all year round either in the open water or teaching in the pool during the winter maintaining the skills.

Well with a bit of luck and some global warming this could be Plymouth sound in a decade.

There is already brain coral in sheltered areas of the sound. Just think my smokey diesels could be helping to create something like this

That one was off Corsica in the Bay of St. Florent.
This is very near to Cap Mortella, after which place, Martello Towers are named (there are not a lot of people who know that!!).
Now if you want to know why the S. English coastline has Martello Towers built along it, and what the relationship with Admiral Lord Nelson and Martello Towers is, ......................then we will have to spend some time one evening over a couple of bottles of wine discussing it.

You are on either during a winter month or may I suggest an even better idea, during summer?
