One of the best places to buy Digital Cameras on the internet is at:

http://www.internetcamerasdirect.co.uk/

They have reviews of all cameras currently available and are about 20% cheeper than the high street. You can also email you pictures to them and they will print them in photo quality for you.

The Canon powershot A40 is quoted at 208 inc 8 meg card and delivery.

Hi Alan

To put you out of your misery:

The colour of the sky. The refraction of light from a rising sun is different from that of a setting sun. This is due to the steadying increase in the angle that light hits the atmosphere rather than the decreasing angle of a sunset. It is a sort of 'doppler' effect. You know, this is why an approaching train whistle sounds higher as it comes towards you and lower as it goes away. I ran a copy of the picture through a spectrum analyser and made the appropriate calculations. This is a technique we use when we have this sort of thing in major crime investigations.

Keith (elimentary my dear Alan) Hart

Well done Mike the pic of the barges is a bit of a giveaway! The sunrise photo is actually taken out of the my back bedroom window very early one morning. It was such a fantastic picture it even made up for being up so darn early!
