deadliest catch & whale wars

anyone watching the new deadliest catch? i think it's amazing!

a couple of weeks ago, captain keith (on the wizard i think) told the guys to put a tarp up over the cages to help prevent ice. the crew did as they were told and three of them were badly hurt because they decided to do it out at sea in terrible weather. the guy is a complete idiot to tell them to do this! why not do it before they left port? i really want to do a king crab season, although should i ever get the chance to do one, i reckon i probably couldn't stay awake for four days!

anyway awesome show!

Whale wars is on after it, all these guys are crazy idiots, the 'chief mate' is increadible! watch it for him because he's completely retarded!

I agree, the worst of it is I think he did it for the cameras which is even more inexcusable.

It is good TV but lets face it the only reason why is becuase they are an accident waiting to happen. I actually don't think the chief mate knows which is port or starboard. He is a complete liability and does not belong on a boat let alone running it.

whale wars really pisses me off. i agree with the message etc but it is just the stupidity of the people that pisses me off. Because they think that they are in a "war" safty regs acountability etc dont seem to apply. like the famous delta rib flip. if they had taken their time a little bit then they would have possibly averted disaster etc. the cheif mate is a knob and the captain just loves the camera. like the "iv been shot" bit

Whale wars is a bunch of amateurs that shouldn't be allowed on a boat, well maybe them bumper boats that were on eBay.
I enjoy watching it but its more of a comedy than a documentry.

The only only reason I've been watching it when I get the chance, is because of the complete cockup of launching the rib .... and the damaging of the helecopter blade at the same time!.... just want to see the other cockups they make... they all look completely incompetent of taking a boat like that in the seas they are taking it...

I saw one last night with them taking the boat through the ice, without the boat being reinforced.. you could see the boat flexing inside.. was really bad

The not turning the VHF on on the RIB and shooting off in the wrong direction for a few miles was a good one too.

I did enjoy the first series, plenty to pick fault from while sat with a beer in front of the fire. I was not going to watch this new series.

Then I spotted that they must have been sponsored by Mercury as both the “new” ribs had twin OptiMax outboards on them. Whippy I was thinking this has some top comedy potential.

That may explain a few things, the first officer being unable to understand bearings and asking to be told to turn left or right...

I'd fit right in.
I've never seen either program except the link that was on the last thread about it.
