Tell them it's not acceptable, ask for a a payment instead of a repair. Get a new one with warranty that you can trust.

Did they not provide some additional maintenance advice for use in the interim... ...something about checking lint traps etc.

Or...

Take a piece of rope and make yourself a washing line... In 38 years I've used a tumble drier 4 times in my life

As Poly would (no doubt) be quick to point out, this data is worthless unless we are informed regarding the number of times you've used a washing machine

Or had someone else (mummy Shiny or potential missus Shiny) deploy a tumble dryer on your behalf....

Mummy Shoe barely knows what an automatic washing machine is and still moans of the loss the twin tub. No tumble dryer for her.

The other shoe hints about such frivolous purchases. She is welcome to buy her own... Provided she builds space to put it in and finds a way to power it that doesn't cost me money. Until then I will buy her a pack of pegs every Christmas if required...

So you might say that the top loader was one of the Twin Peaks of her life...

Now, I didn't say that - nor was I implying it!

I would get grumpy if I saw the tumble dryer being used on a fine day (it doesn't though) however never grumpy enough to take the risk of upsetting Mrs T's laundry routines....

Ours wasn't on the list.... Now it is.

Repair....Feb 17. Joke.

They say you can use it if you clean the dust filter each use.....HOWEVER BEWARE .. your house insurance does not cover you for fire if you use it!!!! You have knowingly used a risky appliance.

With two kids we use it daily in winter and with the machine over 4yrs old anyway, we've paid the 99 for a new one.
