Cornwall trip

Looking for some local info. I was thinking of spending a few days down in Cornwall and sourced the following Fistal beach Hotel & Spa. Never been down before and was looking for some help re this place or other recommendations, we would like sea and near town to get the best of both so to speak. Any info would be appreciated.

Well thankfully I do not have to depend on you for a straight genuine answer as its beyond you!! Thankfully the rest of the forum has a more benevolent view of life than you and I am sure some one will offer me some help.

That was a joke followed by an olive branch. As you're clearly too humourless and dumb to spot either, I'll hang on to the local knowledge that I was more than ready to share with you.

Cornwall is Great....If you can Handle the Locals!... Which I'm sure won't be a Problem for you
Fistral Beach and the Newquay area can be a Bit 'Lively'!! But depends on what your after, where as places like Fowey, and Rock/Padstow Lizard ect, dont cater for Youngsters quite so much.I like the area around Lamorna for a Quiet Get-away.
If your passing mine Billy, (10 mins from M5)...you're VERY welcome to drop by for a Pit-Stop!

I would run over to south coast to Falmouth and St Mawes, the River Fal and Helford are lovely. Good day out around this area, King Harry Ferry, beaches.

Word to stay away from Lands End unless it has changed from commercial trap recently.
Lizard Peninsula is also lovely with great beaches. If you want an old fishing village, go to Cadgwith off the main Lizard road. No parking except up the hill , pub is run by my old neighbours on The Lizard

Actually, Newquay and ya "mun" are probably well suited. He should be sure to also take in Camborne, Redruth and Pengegon.
