Thought you might like these, a rather large collection RR engines on the ground & in the sky. A rare opportunity at the Goodwood RR factory that I snapped with my phone.

& Yes I have to drive them

The memorial flight

It truly is cool. I did that a few years back in ZA whilst killing time on a shoot. Client paid as their product hadn't arrived and we had five days of down-time.

Sounds extravagant but it was cheaper than flying the crew back to the UK and back out again with cancellation fees etc., of course the client had a one for you-two for me system going........and so what. It was nuts, too much G to turn your head to see how fast the ground fell away. Until your guts fall away at the top. Then the ground's the last thing you want to see.

Anyway, it was my idea. The other option was go-karting..... and we had a good few business class pennies to soak up on expenses.

It's not exactly an option when the builder doesn't turn up ( because he forgot to tell you he's playing golf! FF'sS! ). So why the hell not, eh?

Not very. The guys were having trouble getting the wheels up onto the pads (after rolling it across the lawn.) As I recall, there were a couple or three guys on each of the landing gear struts. Eventually sort of bounced it over the edge of the pads. I was actually surprised it didn't just roll off the other side.

I arrive with a bunch of mates this afternoon and we're staying until Sunday - looking forward to it! The Vulcan will be a real treat!
