I have mixed emotions on this. I would love to see and hear the her fly again, as a young lad growing up in Bristol we used to stop classes to go outside everytime she took off on a test flight.
From a contolling point of view, it was a nightmare. We had lots of special proceedures (which were all thrown away after the last day of operation) as it could not fly the same speeds (efficiently) as all the other flights.
What does slightly get my goat, is that we seem to do this sort of thing with all the great aircraft. Rather than keep one or two serviceable as soon as they retire, we let them rot for a few years and then spend 3or4 times the money trying to get them airworthy again.

Did somebody say Vulcan...?
I would love to see Concorde fly again, as I never got around to going on it last time around.

What's with you Falklanders? - you ignore a poor plane until it suits you and then you expect it to come running and drop everything!

Ditto. I used to watch it 'going round' at RAF fairford with my grandparents aged about 3.

Aye and thats what annoys me .. where have we gone since then ? ,, nowhere !
IMVVHO from an engineering point of view, allowing it, and the concept to founder is a very backwards move
