British/Danish SAR joint rescue

Hugely impressed to see this. Obviously Mr Jobsworth was on leave and Mr Commonsense issued instruction to "Send everybody!"

HDMS HVIDBJOERNEN

When I eventually get in trouble, I want them to send everybody.

Of course, I'm guessing that Team Denmark heard the whole thing going down and offered their services to HMCG who sensibly accepted them. And that is what I was so impressed by. Smart move, well executed.

I'd guess the Danish chopper was already up - doubt they would launch it otherwise, but full marks all round- I think the Danes have a no nonsense approach that is in short supply nowadays.

Like us Denmark is surrounded by sea and has many leisure boaters , fisherman and commercial seafarers, we have a lot in common.

They also patrol Faroe Islands and Greenland´s waters, Hvidebjörnen is a regular visitor in Reykjavik harbour taking supplies and change crew
