It depends on whether you feel there is anything of value in that forum worth preserving - if you feel it ads value to the site because it contains useful info or helps you make hits in the search engines then it may be worth keeping it in addition to a new auto pruned chat page...

This is my opinion only - mainly based on the fact that i find all the chat on land rovers etc tiresome and boring.

However an argument could be that there is some useful info in there regarding tow vehicles.
We need somewhere that the ribbing Bikers can have a chat too . A fast bike is very useful to a ribber in many ways .

I find I can get up early and see the sea conditions on both coasts before deciding where to launch , also the bike is very useful to visit postential launch sites .
If I could fix my bike to a rib I would have the best jockey seat and 150hp that wieghs less than any outboard , so lets get to work , iam thinking belts and paddles

It's also a much cheaper way of getting flies on your teeth

I get flies on my helmet , its took me half an hour to clean it this eve .

Ahh today demonstrates there is another good reason to own a bike
Sent the women off in the car to surf at bude , about an hour away for them . I joined them later on the bike had a surf with Caja and then rode home giving me time for a peacfull coffee and to light the BBQ before they got back .
Now just got to get the missus stabilised for towing and map reading and Ill be there ready for the launch .

That's quite enough detail about your helmet, thank you.
Are there loads of bike nobbers down your way?
We get heaps of them around our way on Sundays, from all over the place.

Passed quite a few today inc a sad git on goldwing trike I had to get past him faster than the rest because I felt sick .

It does get busy up your way , that road through Llandovery is mad , i have never seen so many bikes on one road . Wales is a great place to ride if you can get away from the bike hating police you seem to have up there . Scotland is my favourite riding place over this side . May have a week tour later in the year , coming ?

My helmet is silver

I'd love to. May have a problem with time off work though. Planning quite a few trips in the next month or two, which eats into my holidays, but if I can fit it in, that would be great. When are you thinking of and how many bikes?

No date set yet , I try to keep trips to 4 bikes max , big groups are a problem in my experience .

If I don't get time for Scotland or the weather is against I will do a long weekend closer maybe All of wales then yorkshire or similar.

If I can renew my pasport in time there is also the intention for a long weekend in France ,

Hey we got moved , I feel like Dr Who getting out o the Tardis , WTF are we

These things happen when the administrator's on-line!
Long weekend sounds good.
I agree about numbers - the last couple of years, there's only been 4 of us going to the TT, which makes the riding a lot more fun - less hanging around.
I do like to go for a spin in larger numbers, but it does have a downside.
Keep me in the picture on this - maybe HJ would be interested too?

?

Was just thinking the same , Never had a chance to chat with HJ about his bikes .

The French trip was to visit Dunkirk and see the landing beaches and wargraves etc . I have never done that . I thought it would make a good ride to cross at Plymouth - Roscoff and ride up through France , maybe stay in those cheap Formule motels whatever they are called .
