Bank Holiday 24/25 May events - Poole/Wareham

Likely to be spending the Bank Holiday in Wareham / Poole area (non-boaty).

Can anyone suggest family-oriented interesting events / places to do over the weekend (apart from the more obvious options) ?

Thanks

Mike

Nature walk around Arne, deers are everywhere, Steam engine trip to Swanage from Norden. Visit to Tyneham, the abandoned village.

If you go to Tyneham, the fossil forest isn't far from Lulworth.

Looking at the forecast - days on the baech at Studland ? at least you can watch the boats in and out of the harbour . Went with my kids a few weeks ago - loved it - flew kites etc - old fashioned proper family fun ( and free) .

Thanks all.

Studland is likely anyway if the weather looks good.

Never been to Tyneham - I'd like a look but might need some selling to the youngsters!

There's always Poole Park-or the waterslides at Tower Park.
