I know what you mean Linda. I lived in Scottsdale for a couple of years. Dry heat or not, its damn hot.

I had a few days boating on Lake Havasu last year, and it was incredibly hot, but so much fun.

Yup, Lake Hav. is probably the hottest place in AZ. May through Sept is not a good time to visit the southern half of AZ. unless you really like heat. This summer we broke the record for number of days over 110F at 33days for Phoenix. However, cooking your turkey on Xmas day on the BBQ in shorts and T shirt is very nice.
