Won't work for me because of two reasons.
1st I have an iphone 5.
Secondly because "Athough Thuraya's sat coverage doesn't include North and South America, the company has set up roaming deals with terrestrial mobile network operators in the region, including those compatible with the iPhone's supported bandwidths." If I had cell phone coverage why would I need a sat phone? We often don't have cell phone coverage, but we do have Rescue 21 which is our Coast Guards enhanced VHF system.
