Anyone got a Thule 929 (Euroclassic G6) they could take a measurement for me?

Like it says in the title.

I'm looking for the diameter of the "back bar" that the three cycle clamp bars s fix to.

Reason being I have bought a tow hitch twin bike carrier which due to the geometry of car & bike puts the bike's pedal literally mm away from the painted bumper, so I reckoned that one of the spacers from the 929 rack fitted to the bottom of my carrier (they are available as spares) would do the job nicely to hold the bottom of frame a bit further out from the car.

....if the bar that it clamps to is the same size as my carrier!

It's a two minuet job to undo the pedal from the crank with a spanner for a quick fix till you get sorted

Just remember that the left pedal has a left handed thread!

Thanks. Life been a bit manic and I found one to measure .... which agreed with your dimension and I now have a sweat free way of moving my bike.

Yeah removing the pedal was an option but the whole point of the hitch mount carrier was to reduce the hassle of the roof rack and make it simple!

Thanks all.
