January 23rd We're off to St Anton - looking forward to it! In my 40 years of skiing I have only visited Austria a few times and enjoyed it - I'm told the skiing is excellent there, so we'll see!

Yes, and with numerous watering holes on the mountain we may be late back to the chalet for dinner on occasion!

A good 100mm on the mountain now in 'The Valley'. More snow forecast for the weekend. Another great beginning to the season in Europe.

Im just back from snowboarding in France, was booked with Crystal and flying with Thomson. we were carrying 3 boards in one bag and were told by Crystal we had to pay £30 for each board even though they were in the same bag, when got to the airport was told this was not the case.

The £30 both ways not £30 each board each way.

So anyone going take my advice book one set or skis or snowboard and pack the bag to the max at the airports they don't check.
