When I flew with Thomson over Christmas '09, I was told by the travel agent that ski carriage would be 30 (return), or 40 at the airport, if I didn't pre-book. 2 pairs of skis fitted in the one bag, without any problems.

you must be a 'prick with sticks' then?? ;p Can't beat a bit of snowboarder v skier banter!!

There was 8 or us away 2 skiers and the rest boarders so they did get it pritty tight for the week

I was in St Anton a couple of weeks ago, and I was surprised by how few snowboarders there were compared to the French resorts - The standard of skiing was also quite a bit better than some places I've been.

the standard in italy is going to go down hill rapidly on sunday when 8 of us invade
