Any ideas on software to fill in a PDF form?

Now that people keep issuing forms in PDF but can't be bothered to make them so you can fill them in on a computer and expect you to print it off and fill in by hand.
Has anyone found a safe program that allows you to edit / insert text boxes so it looks neat and can be emailed?

Preferably short of buying a full copy of Acrobat PDF creator, some of the ones on line that just load up the PDF then allow you to edit them and email you the results sound just like a recipe fir identity theft.
Any help appreciated.

I find you can usually copy all the text straight into word then fill it out from there.

I use Foxit readed and Foxit editor. Sweet n neat for printing and saving for me. If you are editing non-editable PDFs and use the free version of the program, it prints a small notice at the side of the page but it's easy enough to get around this if you require an absolutely clean copy. For editable files it's fine. I have also saved editable files which Adobe Reader will not allow to be saved either part or fully completed.
