Anglesey Fishing.....

Ok so I'm able to head out from Gazelle at 7pm over next few days. High tide is roughly 1-3pm. So what can I fish for?
Are Mackerel in yet? Where's best and what state of tide?
I have bass tackle, no live eel but have the silver things? Where's best and what state of tide?
Also have flatty hooks but need worms I guess, but again where and when?

go for puffin Island Paul, them fishing types were queuing up to fish on Saturday, but I think the seals were the winners, although it did see Mike Thornton land a pair of nice mackerel

Are the mackerel in yet? They must be I guess.

Do you need to fish at any particular point in tide though? I remember fishing for them off 10ft bank and the back end of puffin.

He must have come up from the Solent then!....
VERY thin on the ground for us the whole weekend,...and with plenty of Rods in the water! The Sandeels were absent too.
Of course they can both appear/move on very rapidly so may well be about in numbers anytime.
Surely in that neck of the woods Bass has to be the Target species if you can get the Live Bait though
..apart from an hour fishing live Mackerel at Puffin, and a bit of Plugging never really got a chance to Target them the weekend.

No macks in the Strait to talk about but plenty from B 2 outwards
If you are going out over the next few days at 19.00 ish that is good.
The Strait is is best fished 2 hours either side of low water
Go to Beuamaris and get some live sandeels and some ragworm
Fish the sand banks from the Pier and Lavan sands close in, no need for deep water
Ledger a bunch of ragworms or crab on the flood there and a chance of plaice or bass
In Puffin sound drift with sandeel plus feathers for macks
Saw bass in 6ft of water by Pwllfanog at the weekend and one or two in Victoria dock and sea trout jumping in the Seiont
Plenty of stuff out there
Go get em!

Cheers fella! Seen the Seawake boats up and down over last few days. Including the record breaking round Island Humber with the 250 on.
