Were they or was it the press blowing it all out of proportion as usual??? Strange that now most people have them and they are considered normal nobody bans them any more!!!

A good friend of mine is a professional video cameraman - he always used to do his school kids concert as a favour - then all the crap started and he was stopped filming - all back top normal now the "hysteria" had died down!!!

Unfortunately it happens, I have done a lot of voluntary work in the swimming world and it is a VERY serious issue where children can be taken advantage of by coaches and others who have access to changing rooms. Cameras and mobile phones with cameras are still banned in most swimming pools. This is not crap nor hysteria, check out the Amateur Swimming Association Website to see how seriously this is taken - http://www.britishswimming.org/vsite...v-list,00.html

I agree parents videoing their children at the school panto is fine and banning this in my opinion was a serious overreaction by some schools and local authorities, hopefully common sense will reign in this area.

As a father of 2 daughters I agree you have to take this stuff seriously - there are some very unwell people out there.

And yes, there is hysteria out there, but the leisure centre/swimming pool thing was (is) a real problem as is (was) Bournemouth Beach.

As far as hysteria goes, I once got arrested, for holding the hand of my own 8 year old daughter whilst walking along Brighton sea front, but that's another story.....

See what I mean!!!

There have always been sick people in this world - and always will be - I don't think it's any worse now than it has ever been - you just hear more about it now!!!

There are definatly weridos about. Remember landing on the 'wrong beach', at Studland and seeing a couple of men emerge from the sand dunes. I will confess to breaking the speed limit in the swimming area, in an attempt to escape. Could have done with Opti power! They should designate these areas on the charts.
