I vote for............................neither.

If you look closely there is a fixed piece of clear material at the bottom that fills the gap when the screen is in the 'up' position.

However I really don't like it.

The concept is good, I like the idea of the screen going up and down, but why they had to make it look like a school desk I don't know.
