Pubs closed at 11 unless you were in the know - not round here, closed at 2.30pm in the day, opened at 6-7 till around 10.30, in most. The ones that opened till 11 had a sudden influx of pissed up nutters arrive from rival pubs around 10.40, who then tried to drink 6 pints in 20 minutes.... after a steep learning curve, most pubs closed at 10.30, I will concede one thing, the in pub entertainment was better, no need for UFC, you could watch it live in your local
