LOL - most of our U20 population is either playing Australian Rules or American Football at the moment.

It never fails to amaze me that the Irish actually HAVE a rugby team, never mind win anything. It was a very niche sport for a very long time. Bear in mind that most of the kids in the "country" played GAA Football and until recently, were therefore NOT ALLOWED to play "foreign sports" including rugby and soccer. Outside GAA, soccer was the main pitch sport in most of the country. A lot of that has changed now and sport has become less of a political battlefield. The new arrangement with "Ulster/Northern Ireland" and a softening of GAA rules has led to a surge in new rugby clubs opening in the strangest of places. It's the latest big thing for VERY young kids the length and breadth of the country. There are lots of little thugs in training, so, IIWY, it's not the U20s I'd be thinking about

Sorry, I failed to make my point clearly:

They are little thugs NOW! It may take more than a few blows to the head to sort them...

Nah, Ireland will lose and it's then anyone's! Well, maybe not the deserting a scots or Italians.

Wales scored well though today if it goes to points at the end.
