Gas oil (red diesel) has gone from 25p/ltr 10yrs ago to 65p. It used to a third of the price of derv. Now it's more than half.

glad to be still here as said. Growing old is compulsory, growing up isn't I never bothered with that bit! First day of my early retirement from a proper job (sort of) I celebrated the fact that they were now paying me to stay away from the office by having the annual training centre inspection in the morning followed by an afternoon behind a rib on the water ski (whilst missing the job terribly of course!)

Also still here. Joined October 2002 and if I am correct diesel was then 19p/ltr at Littlehampton Marina. That was when I had my first Parker 630 Diesel rib and most weekends when the tides were right I would just do a round trip of the IOW and top up the tank at Yarmouth for 20 quid. Those were the days . This thread had prompted me to look up some of my earlier posts and really enjoyed reading again the Littlehampton cruises which Phil Chitty and I would organize and about the May 2003 RibNet gathering in Plymouth. There was very nice group of people there. There a few we do not hear from anymore like Charles from Jersey, Crazyhorse, etc Nice memories
