just got to a laptop to be able to see pics & reply properly ( some mild teenage children drama last eve - who'd have them eh !?)

Superb pics from Neil - AJ I'm sure likes seeing his clean underside ( even if Mrs J like my boat better....)

I'll get to footage in next 24 hours hopefully - but I have found a large scatch on the housing which may appear on the files .

Still can't thank enough everyone for making it a great run out - covered 40 miles on about 22L and set a new top recorded speed on the GPS of 32.6knots

I think its all down to Avocets 'scurvy crew' starting this off ....

Ha ha !

Ive not logged on till now as Ive been washing the solent out of my bilge.

Thanks for your help on the slipway guys - much appreciated.

For those that were not there to enjoy laughing at me being a complete numpty - I loaded up the boat fine and pulled it out of the water OK. But once clear and ready to leave I noticed it was not central on the bunks. So I figured I drop it back in the water, shove it central and then drive home. Seemed like a simple plan.

But like a plonker, I forgot to put the bungs back in and to add to the entertainment, the tide had gone out further. So while me and my crew were making a meal of drowning the trailer to load the boat, it was merrily filling with water I put them back in, but that required me to be up to my armpits in the sea. Then we had to unhitch the trailer, take it deeper and rope it to the van to pull it out.

At least my pumps work !

So, not only did I have a great day out I also learnt a lot.
  1. dont take the bungs out, as its easy to forget.
  2. get one of those long bars with a hitch on so I can leave the van dry and the trailer wet.
  3. make sure your Ribnet mates are on hand to help, laugh and advise.
Big thanks to you guys for your help, advice and encoragement.

When Im at work tomorrow I will get those photos posted up. Next time we are out the drinks are on me.
Cheers

Don't worry I would be very surprised if not every member on here has left a bung out at some stage.
I have more than once ,, even left my battery at home in the garage once, put it on charge night before. Err forgot all about it till I hit the Beach. ,,, stole it of the car then found out I had no code for my radio after re fitting it,,, funny expensive hard lesson,,

Lymington slip has seen worse
No-one was injured, your gelcoat is intact, and only those that meant to got wet. Not always the case
And no, those particular incidents did not involve me

007 it is (ish) . Unfortunately missed the Poole Boats in the footage and some of the Calshot/Southampton ones ......I'm just not quick enough to be able to pull alongside and unless the target boat is (ideally) between one and ten meters off they become a 'dot' in the footage. Matt & I managed 'quite close' at one point ...

Wanted to get some of Steve & Donna after an epic drive to make it - great looking boat & very capable for its size. . Got to love those little ribcrafts - alongside the SRs got to be the best fun on the water pound for pound

Youtube has as always buggered the image quality

more like 004 and 3 quarters in my case!!

Steve and donnas boat did look good.
It will be on my short list when I buy a new one!
with all the film royalties that is!

Maybe us 'mudeford boys' should spend a day making a film later in the year to show how it's done in 'less large' boats?? :-)

Watching all these vids is making me so jealous, looks like you had an amazing time. I just hope that when I finish the boat and it's ready to go there will be a run like this I can join to make sure everything works ok.
