there was two of us pushing and shoving the weekend before last as she had not been used for some time, things had gone a bit dry and we needed a bit of lube! we got there in the end after a bit of a sweat and then money changed hands so everyone was happy!!!

4plus2 water trialed and tested and gone to a new home

You make sure your equipment is looking its best and in full working order.
Which is especially important to those of us with slightly older equipment.
Pay particular attention to checking for leaks.

Then you need to make sure she is ready.
The angle of attack needs to be carefully considered, and if your rollers are not lubricated there will be painful squeaks and scratches to your smooth bottom.
Be gentle, and relax is the key, pushing and shoving with all your might will not work unless the ‘Button‘ on the winch has been released.
You will be rewarded with a smooth and satisfying entrance followed closely by the gentle slap slap of waves on the hull.

Of course there comes a point when even the mature Ribber revs up and really gets going.

Saying all that…

I normally launch by myself!!

Nasher.

Sorry, forgot to say, will likely launch at Warsash as well for Calshot meet. Tide is lowish but neap, so should be enough to launch.

Nick - looks like we may meet on the Warsash slip (or possibly the M3).

Woops,
Just caught up with this thread, I seem to have dropped off the list, unless I have suddenly become Ian McConnell?!
I still intend to come along, launching at Lymington, most likely by myself, probably meet you all at Calshot or Cowes.

If the weather is good then we will be at Calshot, 2 adults plus 2 kids, but not going with the kids in poor weather.

I'm definately gonna do this trip but I don't know how accomodating my work is going to be so might have to give the meal in Yarmouth a miss. But would like to meet everyone anyway.

Hopefully I should know my plans by Thursday night.

Mike I'll keep an eye out for you. (Do you live near the Wessex ?)

Nick.
