Now there's an Idea to think of! Wonder if there's a record for this sort of thing?

Would be brilliant fun!

Might I suggest we take the inner passage over Gurnard Ledge?

I trust it was comfortable.

I have now fitted a custom drinks dispenser available at Tax Free prices whilst at sea.

Sorry cold drinks only.

I thought the sight of steam coming from a coffee making machine would have made me look like a steam ship and wouldn't have been becoming of a RIB. Unless I took shelter behind Pete7.

Ben,

With that magnificent ship you have I would have thought you'd have your own supply of fine drinks.

No, the twin 150 HPDI's do all the drinking on his behalf. He just tops up the oil reservoirs...

On second thought, the inner paasage over the ledge would be too narrow for lots of RIBs I guess.

Forget that idea.

How about using Gurnards ledge as the starter marker with the buoy as the inner marker and all the RIBs north of it. I would quite happily be the RIB on the southern most side. In Army parlance the "Left hand Marker".

Then off the top of my head I will aim for Hamstead Ledge buoy but aim to go free style some time after Salt Mead.

If we all meet up for a chinwag off Cowes somewhere we should get an idea for a reasonable speed to carry out the manouvere from the crowd coming from Pompey as they will be used to the prevailing conditions by then.

Any suggestions ?

I shall have a Digital stills camera and Video Camera available.

Just thought I'd say.....

I'll be on the water Sunday too but at the other end of the Solent. If the Force 6's don't appear, I'll try and pop in to Yarmouth!

The more the merrier as they say!

Andre, Don't you owe me a drink?
