They probably wouldn't mind your RIB staying put for an hour if you've just had lunch there.

Well worth a visit.

Yes, the Jolly Sailor was the pub featured in Howards Way. The good thing about the Jolly Sailor are there are lots of benches looking out to the Hamble to sit on and admire the sea/your rib/the other boats coming along.

Anyone know if the Bugle at Hamble is opening up again soon. The pub has been closed for ages, and is on the waterfront.

I can answer my own question here. I opened tonights Boat show preview sold with the Daily Echo, and lo and behold the Bugle at Hamble had a full page spread, saying that the Bugle is now open.

I dont know if there are any charges to moor up at Hamble pontoon for a while and go to the Bugle, anyone know.

You're more than welcome to come over to the Warsash side to moor and swim over to Hamble, when you come back you can have a swift one in the Rising Sun......Serves good food too! Or used to!

Jolly Sailor!
Good Pub but looks a bit dodgy getting up the creek at anything but high tide?

Spitting distance from me Bruce, nice pub but as already said, need top of the tide, lots of smelly black mud if you get caught, dont mistake the inlet for the power station sailing club, its nearer the refinery jetty.
