December

Nice to see another couple of Guys from the N.W doing it when the weathers bad (not like those Southeners). Anyway you chaps, how about meeting up with us on the 28th December ? There will be at least 4 RIBS (if Phil Davies doesn't wimp out - again) and you'll be assured of a great crack.

Hi folks

It was a good couple of hours, nice to see you all.
Given the conditions we was not sure if you would be out, just proved your as mad as the rest of us.

When you saw us coing out from the marina, that was our second time out.
Had kids onboard first time and they decided it was a bit too rough for them so we had just dropped them of.

Think it was a bit of baptism by fire for Barry, still most days after that will be easy

As far as helmets go, I want one now, and thats from somone sat behing a big console screen.

Well its was a "bit" rough , and honest it wasn't that rough first time we went out, even the kids didnt complain till later.

We will have to get some trips done, we have takled about Peil (of course) Whithaven/Maryport. trip round and up the Lune and the IOM. Only problem with this time of year is you plan it all the cant be sure of the weather on the day. Still worst case we can play in the river. Not forgetting some fishing (must get the best spots from Dave)

Would be nice crusing in company, safer as well.

Will be over this weekend, tides not good,so not going out, got a engine & leg service to do plus a prop swap, under pitched at present so not reaching max speed .

See you all soon

Regards Gary

Xmas hols

I'm off for Xmas from Tue 23rd until New Year

It is definitely my intention to get the boat out on one (or more) of those beautiful winter days.....if it's nice we'll try and organise something.

Nutcase

Jahno just bought two Geko (?sp) on Ebay at ~£50 a piece but I think they are about £115 new. If you're at the LBS you'll see some there or search online. I don't know any other makes.
I find a beanie hat and a pair of safety goggles at £7 a set does the job, well they did last Saturday.
