The site in Fowey with the slipway is Penmarlam Park ( and it's lovely. Campsite shop has reasonable prices. Slip is very steep though.Watch for the lip at the end at LW springs-it's just submerged enough you can't see it. Good security in the boat park too-Infrared cctv and token operated barriers.

I did Rockley Park on the A350 near Poole on the May bank holiday. It's not too bad but it does have a lot of screaming chav kids there at times. Food is good though and only 10 minutes from Baiter Park or Davis's Boatyard/Cobbs Quay to launch. (Davis's is cheaper and more friendly by far but restricted times-and they only charged for launch/recovery not parking last time I was there).
Need spares, consoles, consumables, hire, training or even a new boat?

We launched from Fowey at Penmarlem (Bodinnick side of the river) in the summer and it's very handy and has a pontoon to pick up the crew.

Another excellent place to camp in Cornwall with a very close slip/launch area is Trethem Mill campsite at St. Just on the Roseland Pennisula. While it isn't next to the water, there is a boatyard at St. Just Creek (Pasco's) about 1-2 miles away where you can either launch (at pretty much any state of the tide) or rent a temporary mooring (which is what we did). They also have a tractor for assisted launching. The area is superb with tons of cruising on the Carrick Roads and of course the wonderful Pandora Inn at Restronguet.
