Mind you not sure if that means I can launch, you could read it that I am merely using the facilities.

Sadly not Shaggy, you also need a launching pass, 80 or so, not bad for a year bit steep for a weekend!

I just packed some rusty old hooks and a lump of lead. That usually does the trick. Drop that lot over the side and the mackerel get so horrified, they jump into the boat.

Weather's looking shite again, so may just bring the SIB. Will decide tomorrow

Hugh - will probably end updoing a nocturnal trip, through necessity, as I haven't sorted all my kit out yet, so it's looking like a late departure from West Wales.

i travelled down last night for the eve to roys and the roads were clear but there are roadworks on the 30 that will be a pain in the arse if you hit them at the wrong time, we will be leaving around 3-4 am to be there for 7-8 if possible

the run for the sun is expected to have 80,000 visitors so god knows what the traffic will be like, dont worry about bringing your rib as roy and i and others will be there so no probs at all, sib is down there as well so we are well sorted either way

Are bass that sharp ? din't notice on the last ones I had from Morrisons

After the forecast tonight I feel a bit of lumpy sea may make going far hard work so fishing maybe the answer . sea is calming down today but still 3.4 ft and choppy . Could be some surf at Pentewan for the kids

Weather is looking pretty wet for saturday now - but sunday looks fantastic and monday ok too.

Getting back to the original thread topic - the trip to the scillies - next weekend is currently forecast to be perfect.

circa 20 deg C air temp and light and variable winds.

We can chat more about it at pentewan - but I definately think a weekend over on the scillies would be a great idea - id only be able to do the single saturday night stopover though (bloody work)

As said earlier in the thread if we wait untill too far into the season - camping will need to be booked way in advance on the scillies.
