See Missus that's what hanging round with hardboaters does for you. It's always raining in Cardiff! That's why I am so happy living in Southampton cos it never rains here?

Just wanted to say what a brilliant weekend. Saturday was okay just a bit windy, but Sunday it just rained . But the racing went on and it was pretty spectacular in the inner basin . Cookees boat broke on the Friday so he kept us company on the shore.

Just want to thank Cookee for showing us round the pits where we saw a waterski race boat with a 1000hp petrol inboard!!! Awesome. He was a brilliant host and we all had a great weekend.

Many thanks

Martin and Anto (Ant & Dec)

P.S. I think The Jackeens may have some photos.

Hi Martin and Anto
Very pleased to meet you, if you wanted to see the action you should have said, you could have come with me outside the basin, maybe next time.

Hey RWave ...you were the one going for the hardboats this weekend. Did you have fun with the Biblical Monster?

Apparently your mum was a brill hostess according to the RIBnetter we spoke to. Thanks for the accomodation offer. Much appreciated.

We had a great weekend. Despite Cookee's disappointment on Friday. Very good RIBnet gathering...Team Cookee of course, with Elaine, Sally and Howard, Mike Carroll, Antoinette and Martin, Ian Austin,Les, Mike B, Vicki and Matt and it was very nice to meet winners Rob and Roy who have become champions in their very patriotic boat ! We even met some Irish Powerboat Teams!!! Congrats to Matt who did a brill job navigating for Adam Y.

Cardiff is a great location Racing could be seen from the ice-cream place, the coffee shop, the restaurant...even the hotel room!!!!
The 'Chocolate Fountain' was a big hit as were the musicians who were a bit 'Phoenix Nights'

We have a collection of photos and will try to post them soon.
Many thanks for the pit passes Cooks (you might have been ribless but you have a brill heart) and the Rescue Boat spin Ian Austin. (Sorry I wimped out )

The weather was wild, the ski-boats were mad and a certain RIBnetter is very taken with OCR You Know Who You Are.

Oh and big thanks to Rogue Wave's Mum too

Cheeky My camera's brutal by comparison to P's. That was a great room...full view of the Bay.

Ah you love posing Cooks. Gotta be a racer thing I guess
At least you cheered up.
