The Third Annual Nacho Run - 2 January 2011

Hard upon the success of the Jolly to the Folly yesterday and by popular request to continue this New Year tradition, I propose the Third Annual Nacho Run to The Wheatsheaf in Yarmouth for Sunday 2 January 2011.

With the following day being also a public holiday, it will give an alternative date should the weather window be unfavourable on the Sunday.

I suggest being at the pub (easy to find for those that have not been before) for 12.30: I'm hoping that Grimalkin will be back by then and will be heading out of Poole around 11.15 with anyone else coming from there.

All welcome from whatever departure point and hope to see you there to wish you a Happy New Year in person.

David

Still hoping to make it, but have to be able to pick the boat up from Biffs, and my car's not working... so we shall see.

If I get there, spare seats available if you need one Tumbleweed.

Hopefully I'll make this one without having mechanical problems like the last one.

Momentum building .....

Sorry to hear that PeterM can't make it now (trips to Yeovil and Calais with me too much eh ) but numbers are growing with (weather permitting) confirmeds as:

Avocet with 3+ (Grimalkin safely delivered back to Poole on Wednesday)
250 Knots +1?
Trevor G +1? and Tumbleweed41?
Starovich +?
Hightower +? (mechanics permitting!)
Zippy +?

and possibles as:

Paul Cannell (good to see you again Paul, if you can make it)
Neil Harvey (hope you can make it Neil)
Gold Rush

The more the merrier! Please note though that the petrol pump at Yarmouth is currently broken and is not expected to be repaired until after our trip. Petrol in Poole is also currently limited to Salterns Marina until the New Year.

See you soon but in the meantime: have a good one

David

Ah - we've now booked to see the New Year in in France and have found there are no ferries back on the 1st - so we'll be boating on Sunday 2nd - but courtesy of Brittany Ferries rather than on Blue Ray.
If however the run is postponed for any reason to Monday we'll be there. Pete - if you're free maybe we can do a delayed Nacho run of our own anyway?
Have a good run and Happy New Year for Saturday!
Trev

Can't get there under my own steam now... so if anyone has a spare seat / needs crew from Southampton or Portsmouth way, I'd be grateful...
