Regretably not yet - have emailed the Sailing Club but no reply as yet - unfortunately we did'nt get down at half term due to Darrens gran being rushed into hospital - Easter will be the next stop - so should have some sort of reply by late March

Will try ringing the club later this week as well

Sorry DHD

Listen up, Greenhorn, here's the deal

While Ribnet is mostly a male preserve (Deo Favente), occasionally the laydees like to have a Jolly. This year's theme is "Wiccan Wales" and is being organised by Knot Yet, aka J ean, not J ohn.

Now, she's sparky, and she doesn't take a lot of cr@p, but she has a good heart and has previously forgiven even the most incorrigible sorts, such as meself.

Having said that, I'll get me coat....

You lot are utterly mad - but loveable

Have now had a response from Dale Yacht Club and will post the details as soon as I can once I've confirmed everything with Sharon (campsite) - in a nut rafting up and mooring over night should be possible - however trailers will need to be stored up at the campsite as the council are tightening up on NO trailers being left by the hard or car park

Details to follow

TQ

Is that the campsite where you have to drive or walk across the muddy farm yard to get to

Yes - I think

It's a good point though and worth reiterating - this is a working sheep farm - so the farm yard is muddy and the fields have sheep in and sheep droppings - the camping field is clean though so you don't have to worry about what you are walking though!!.

It has a small amenities block - containing 2 showers and two toilets and a freezer and sink.

Not sure what Jim means re "you have to drive" - once you are there Dale itself is within easy walking distance - about 10 minutes away at a brisk rate.

We've never found the farm yard to be impossibly muddy but I guess if you are not used to country life and all the "mess" that can go with it when living on a truly working farm - unlike the many that surrond us down here in West Sussex - then it can seem pretty grotty

This is not 5 star accomodation - so please don't expect anything amazing - this is simple, cheap and no frills camping

The campsite is a farm and therefore has an element of poo lying around and as with most poo it can also smell a bit - the campsite is clean as no sheep are kept on it but your car wheels or boots will get poo on them when you drive or walk across the yard - my apologies if my previous reply did'nt make that abundently clear for you

In a nut there is a large amount of sh*t lying around - in fact quite a lot like the South East - except this is animal derived not human created
