seems like there is less rain today although the wind is still up.

I agree, need to organise a round the island trip for sure. just drove back to Chester after driving in car to puffin, very rough in the sound indeed though the straits were calmer by the bridges. Just too miserable though to bother today.

We went down to Beaumaris at 10:30am with the intension of launching, didnt like what we saw  so returned back to caravan for a bacon butty and a cupa.
I got a few pics from the pier yesterday which I will post when I get a mo. Well done to all who braved the awfull weather on Saturday

The weather can't of been that bad, I hear it was that HOT for some people with RIBS they went swimming

Many thanks to all who attended Conwy this week end
Although the weather was bad we all went ribbing on the Saturday and in most cases it was the worst seas the owners of the ribs had been in.
This tested all our ability to the max but within a safe enviroment with plenty of ribs around us.
We did loose a man overboard  he was recovered within a minute,( automatic life jacket didnt inflate)
Most of the ribs made it back to Conwy and some took shelter overnight in port Dinorwic. We all met up that night in the pub in Conwy marina for beer and to tell our story of the days events.
It did'nt go as we planned but by god it was fun!!!! Hope to do it with you all again soon.....

looks like it worked out quite well to me on the basis that the weather is always the boss it sounds like you had a good cpuple of days. I've always liked a bit of rough myself.
Nobody did anything silly like capsizing did they?

No capsizing, just erm....
All I'll say is that he runs a RIB forum!
I have no photos of that particular event, but I do have some from the weekend. I'll try to post them later tonight.

I would also like to add my public thanks from myself & son Richy to all concerned with organising and helping on the weekend , especially Ged & Dave , and also a real big thanks to Ian Sharlot who made us welcome as crew on both days ( and genuine thanks to those others who also offered us rides ).
Richy seemed to thoroughly enjoy helming in the rough stuff on Saturday  Must be bonkers ! Wonder where he gets it
