Hello guys some more info for you all...........
BRP and Liverpool Power Boats have made an offer to supply FREE XD100 oil for the Etec owners for the trip

I had a meeting with the Harbour master today, He requires me to record the boat and owners details, also to verify insurance of participating craft over the 2 day event. Please PM me by Thursday night if your coming so I can do the paper work. I only need to see a copy of your insurance on the day you launch.
They have taken back the offer of camping on the Beacons, please pm me if you require another site.
Apart from that parking, launching, registration is free for the weekend

Look forwad to seeing you all. pm If you require any more help.......

" SOS " - any chance of scrounging three lifts ?

La Bamba is out of commission . ( I gave her quite a hard time on the Clyde cruise two weeks ago and wrecked the tilt and trim ) . My regular Yamaha mechanic has done his best to replace various parts that are are available , but some , like the main piston O ring are on a two week back order with Yamaha .I just got the bad news at 6.15 this evening .

We are still coming ( myself , son & girlfriend ) and would like to scrounge lifts if possible . Will split up if we have to , and naturally will share all costs . If we can't scrounge the lifts we'll go tour Snowdonia & meet up for a beer .

If you can help , please pm or email me this evening . Early tomorrow onwards please call mobile...... 07845 986636.......

Thanks

Bern

I have just spoken to the forecaster at Ronaldsway and he is giving NE F5-6 overnight to-night with F6-7 for to-morrow morning. It really pi--es me off when so much work has been done by so many, DM, GED and John K to mention only a few, to get this trip off the ground only to be likely to be screwed by the weather at the last moment. Then again, that's the joy of UK boating!!!
If you don't get over to see us to-morrow please consider a trip this way some other time. we would like to se you all.
Finally, if the weather is really dog s--t to-morrow the bike races could also be delayed or postponed.

Total bummer!! Days of high pressure and it goes to rats the moment a trip comes along. We had it in reverse on last weeks Sillies trip.

With the forcast in mind, I am now delaying my departure today. Intending to check again very early Saturday morning in the hope of some kind of moderation in the weather over night.

If it turns out that F6-7+ is blowing, then I'm afraid that I will bang out, I see little point in travelling 300 miles to get tossed about and wet (stand back and wait for the comments ....).

I still want to record my thanks to all those involved in the organisation, a fab job, well dones guys

Steve

IF the trip to-morrow is called off and anyone intends to 'come on their own' give me a ring on my mobile 07624-321982 and I can meet you here. If, as forecast, we have a F6-7 Easterly Douglas Outer Harbour is not the best refuge!!. However, you can go into the inner harbour but you will be tide-locked circa 3hrs either side of low water. Peel outer harbour is well sheltered in easterlies if you want to consider the west side of the island and available at all states of the tide.
