Looking at the weather next weekend sits on the balance. Nice until Thurs according to most of the forecasts modes but it is looking increasingly changeable from the 26th with some charts showing a nice low sitting over the Irish Sea on Sat with a keen WNW air stream.
That said some are only expecting a few thundery showers and settling back by Sunday albeit cooler.
Looking on the positive side I will be taking a couple of disposable BBQs and my hand line to see if I can catch lunch on Sat. Judging by the amount of Mackerel I have caught off the Lizard at the moment all you need is a well aimed fist at the water.

It looks like the boats coming from Plymouth can no longer make this one. So that just leaves Mollers and the ribs from Penzance....

Not a great fan of XC weather - always seems more pessimistic than reality.

A seven day forecast for this region is as good as worthless. It may predict a trend though. Local forecasts are giving thundery showers for next week, remaining hot.

I shouldn't really be saying this but weather is one of my interests and according to the main computer number crunching forecast models which the 7 day forecast charts get there data from.
The weather is set fair until tues. after that we pick up a hot humid mix from the south which will generate thundery showers from tues onwards.
Towards the end of the week it looks like an area of low pressure forming in the Biscay region will develop and drift north. How active it becomes is uncertain after Fri 26 most of the models agree a westerly airflow.
The charts to look at are GFS and ECM
Global forecast chart, European computer model.

They didn't go out far today because it started to blow from the east this afternoon and got quite lumpy . the skipper said it could reach a 6 , dropping off a now but staying easterly

These are from the ECM model usually seen as the most reliable.

Current situation!!
It's not looking as unsettled as it was before the weekend but we are still 5-7days away if you count the time there.
The charts below give you the temp and general pressure trend. The Synoptic charts start coming in tomorrow.
As it stands Fri will see a light to mod breeze from the SW with some showers.
As for Sat and Sun much the same light ish winds with the prospect of some sun but not as warm as it has been. Island temps 17c-19c
These are the 12 noon charts today
