That is going to be down to the teams (meeting this month) Depends on what they want done. Otherwise it's just the cost of you running your boat round the U.K. with your overnight stops, food and of course fuel. Fuller details after the meeting.

PM me your email address and I will send you a low res brief on the Run.

Meeting of ALL teams taking part in the longest and toughest offshore powerboat event to take place this year and probably for quite a few years, is to take place on Saturday 7th February. If you intend taking part and haven't already registered for this meeting then PM me now!!

Death of an era! Next week's Round Britain Cannonball Run meeting has been cancelled through lack of interest. Just five teams showed firm interest in attending.

This is a very sad day for us, Obviously the spirit of adventure in Powerboating is dead.

You can safely say that the above event is now not going to happen, which will please some and disappoint a few others.

Not that the event was my cup of tea, but it seems to me that posting something up that is all a bit clandestine and you need to attend a meeting to find out the plan seems destined to fail.

Perhaps the cost of attending a meeting pales into insignificance once you have to shell out for fuel for the actual trip. But having to shell out to find out if its what you want to do is crazy.

It also means someone interested from Europe or even further is less likely...

A plan that is so loose as was described also risks drifting into no one making decisions.

If you really wanted this to work you'd have been better publixally posting a plan, an estimated minimum cost, optional extras that might be considered with estimated costs and a WebEx to discuss...

seems a little on the dramatic side . I guess its more to do with money and sponsorship. Once the financial climate is back on a solid footing do you think we will see a re-emergence these kind of events ?
