Sunny Solent Saturday

Anyone going to be around in the sunny Solent on Saturday? Its our last chance to get the boat out for a couple of weeks & we may have a new camera to play with!!

The forecast looks hopeful.

Think we probably won't have enough time to go all the way to Bournemouth, so we are going to launch at Camber and do a quick skip over to Cowes for a swift lunch.
See ya next time !

Cool

We are planning to be at Calshot for 11.00 then heading towards Bournemouth.

Weather seems good! If it's anything like tonight out there it will be fantastic.

(Many thanks to Jet Boat John for the thrilling spin on 'Renegade' (another renegade Mark H. ) tonight !

Will dig out your website for peeps to get a flavour of Renegade's performance!

Fantastic evening...cool peeps )

missus

Thanks for the excellent company this weekend and all the RIBbing fun

Sat a.m. we went to Yarmouth for brekkie and then headed to Bournemouth to cheer on Craig & Zapcatters.

Great to see Craig and Kristian tearing along and Paul & Robin have probably got some great photos

We headed back across to Alum Bay where we stopped to chill and admire the fancy boats at anchor.

Then across to Lymington for fuel across a wash created by the big huge yachty thing from Pompey (Leander) making 22knots or so...one minute we were in flat waters; the next we were rounding the 'Cape of Good Lord What's That?' as we were buried in mountainous waves

A trip to The Folly follied and eventually we all headed for home.

Thanks for letting me drive Tifino Birdman
It's a cool craft to be sure (to be sure).

Some excellent comedy moments from Met Office Martin !

And having promised earnestly to get socks for Anto I completely forgot and she went home with freezing feet

Sally, hope we see you again soon

Howard, thanks for being fab crew and for being the One Who Stayed Awake on the way back to Pompey!

Lovely to see you all and hope Craig did well.

Didn't come across Slimtim lying in a gutter anywhere after the excesses of the IOW Music Festival but we phoned him and he was well coherent.

Cowes today...sea a little messier but the Fountain was cosy and the company was excellent.

Anto and Martin's RIB : 'Remedy' charged over the chop and Paul and Howard put Merlin to bed after a brill weekend's RIBbing.

missus

We had a lovely jaunt across to Cowes, launching at Camber and arriving just as the sun was popping across the yard arm. Nice flat sea going and a welcome pint of the black stuff & lunch outside at the Fountain preceded a stop at the chandlers for an emergency extra fender purchase, as a further four boats had rafted up, squashing poor Juno! Then a quick potter round the shops before a slightly choppier crossing back to Camber.

Glad you all had a good time at Bournemouth!

Popped over to Cowes Sunday lunchtime very few RIBs at town quay . Can’t understand how wrong the weather forecast was wind and sea state lot worse than us and lot more expected had real fun recovering at Calshot along with number of others . Good to have a glimpse of Remedy & Merlin as we were leaving Cowes sorry did not stop for long but wanted to get back across before the wind picked up even more hope your crossing was OK. Still we all had fun even if we got a bit wet on the slip.
