Ah, thats more like it, and if they are looking for sympathy, well its between .... and ..... in the dictionary.

Just find it difficult to believe you could borrow a very nice rib and abandon it on an island 70 miles from home.

I am not deliberately trying to contradict Mark here, but I gather the parting of the tube from the hull was a bit more serious than that. Mark, would it also be true that in heading back, into the weather, the split might have got more serious.
They also had a petrol deck bladder that I gather burst, spilling petrol all over the deck. I dont suppose this effected their decision to return without the boat as I am guessing the main Revenger tank would be sufficient.
Was Hugo just being a cautious bunny here?

Dom

I didn't realise who had lent me their mooring on Sunday. Many thanks for helping all of us out with our impromptu visit to Guernsey

Cheers

A few pictures from the weekend.

As predicted the weather for Saturday was great for making a channel crossing.

Jon Adlard

To all the intrepid Channel Island Cruisers over the weekend.
Great company ,great time, sorry to hear the soul destroying news of the leg Brian. Glad to hear Andy and the boat got back OK.
I'm still aching after the trip back.
Anyway after the late inbibing on Sunday night at the Yacht Hotel at Guernsey, somebody forgot to pay the bill!!!!! As I was the only one to fill in the booking in form I'm getting the grief. Any clues anybody???
Cheers
Jon
