Have a dekko at the chart for the extent of Ryde Sands (now forever to be known as Bruce's Bank by the looks of it?) where many a prop has had a little polish! Also for the best approach to Priory Bay. There is a sand bar which needs to be avoided depending on draught & state of tide. It has the advantage of making powercraft slow down as they approach the beach
which is always a Good Thing ! Do keep an eye on GPS & depth gadgets!
