Yup, great day. Good to meet the usuals plus some new faces! Sorry to those who I didn't get round to having a chat to...Carl, would love a ride in that boat of yours sometime

I didn't get out on my wakeboard, as I didn't have an experience driver with me, but my mate rich managed to get up after 5 or 6 pulls.

Oh, and thanks to Kathleen for the pimms with bananas and stinging nettles

Cheers

Tim

Wonderful. Nice to meet some of you that have up to now just been names on my computer screen. What really impressed us was that everyone was unfailingly friendly and cheerful. I think it must be a RIB thing
Special thanks to Kathleen and Paul for the arrangements, the Pimms, and contributing to my weight problem
It was great for the whole family to be involved in a RIB event. Hope to meet up again soon, I'll try to be on time next time................
Finally, sorry for slowing you up Tim, circumstances, I'm afraid, beyond my control. Next weekend there will be no such problem
Now when's the next one

Ian, no problem at all. The speed going to priory was just about right really! I trust you got home ok, many thanks for the cruising company on the way up...thankfully my engine was fine! Perhaps see you next weekend for the round the island.

Oh, and apologies for being late when we met you in the morning !

We had a fab time too!!! What a top place! The wind favoured the location all weekend so it looked like a Caribbean Beach on Saturday (and Sunday also !)

Hey Slimtim you Yarmouth heathen!!! That was MINT in the Pimms!!! Not stinging nettles!!!

Noticed you parked that fancy new RIB of yours out in the shipping lane!!! And then waded in (head well above water) while everyone else needed snorkels!!!!

Pete & Vivienne had stormed the beaches when we arrived and the territory was well occupied (indeed fully furnished ) and fires lit!

Biggles took on a head sea from Hayling but arrived full of cheer! Students Jimbo, Laser & Lee were very helpful on the BBQ front and outdid the seagulls by quickly polishing off anything of a leftover nature!

Anto did excellent quality control of the Pimms!!! But each vintage was heartily consumed!! Carly's boat could be heard leaving its South Coast berth
and he insisted to Nicki he had to drive it slowly up and down the beach a few times allegedly to search for safe anchorage !

Sarah, Nautibuoy, Zippy,Gwen, Martin and others were wakeboarding stars with Sarah leading the way apparently! The Ringo looked liked loads of fun also!

Ian M and Ann- lovely to meet ye again! Martin Humphrey walked over with his labrador to chat to us. Thanks for the navigation help and hope your boat is back soon!

Whiteshoes, Elaine, Sophie & Saph got the rounders going and it was all very civilised until we stopped for 'tea'!!! Some blatant cheating ensued including rugby tackling which isn't in the rule book !!!

Ciara and Ethan were stars of the show and were extremely patient with all the adults all day! Lovely kids you have Chris and Debs (& thanks for help Debs!!!)

Despite eating lots of things that were no good for us at all there was still room for strawberries and cream after rounders, chocolate birthday cake and a drop of bubbly as the sun went down !

Yesterday morning we brought brekkie to the beach but the poor campers were rained out & gone! So we cleaned the beach of any leftovers and wandered over to the Bay Cafe for a top cuppa ! We also had a look round Seaview.

Heard from Sir Hal who had been camping out also and watched the Red Arrows over Pompey before lazing on the beach all day with leftovers and the papers

Thanks everyone for your fab company, food, games and fun! And for letting us know you arrived home safe also(& texts!)!!!

Top weekend! Birthday Boy had a ball ! Photos to follow!!!

K & P

One of the more intriguing moments of the day was watching whiteshoes play rounders and rugby whilst wearing a pair of chest waders?!!
