Further to DJL's posting 17th Nov (ish) On a recent around the island trip we encountered that same lobster pot/ floating line. The experience was something like I imagine landing a fighter jet on an aircraft carrier to be. The line snagged the down leg of the engine causing us to go from healthy cruising speed to zero in pretty quick time.

The irony was that we had spotted the marker from some way off and had given it adequate clearance (or so we thought!!!)
