solent weekend

Hi Jackeens, Kim and all

Sorry I wasn't in Yarmouth to meet you all, as you know business in Jersey called me away..... bugger.

I've just called into Kings Head (Yarmouth) after returning on ferry, for a quick pint. All the staff in there told me a whole heap of "my mates" turned up at the weekend... and what a great bunch of peeps they were.... so well done to you all. I've read a lot of the after event posts, seems like you all had a fuggle fantastic time.

Catch you all soon

Hi everyone - sorry not been around for the past week.

Been up to my armpits in paperwork !

Have just read all the posts from when i last posted on saturday night of the cruise. What can i say - THANKS - THANKS & THANKS again for all the kind remarks and the friendliness shown by all.

Had a slight problem with the ski when we were coming back from our outing at the Needles, in that an internal warning alarm was sounding intermittantly ??? Nothing was displaying at fault on the 'HUD' . Then i was graced with the presence of the Jackeens, who very kindly shadowed me ALL the way to Lee-on-Solent just in case it got any more troublesome - but nothing thankfully.
Had found out later that whilst most of the same model of mine from year 2002 had already had a sensor problem and that they had been replaced under warranty, mine had only just started to become a fault. OH DEAR, i thought, 2 yr warranty and it ended just back in Feb of this year !!!
My ski has always gone to Bembridge Motor Services (BMS-Seadoo dealer etc) taking it in this week - as soon as part arrives -

- 'TIM' - Well mate really glad you had the time of your life on the 'STROKER' just let me know when you want to part with your cash for one yourself and i'll insist on helping you decide what is good from the bad - OK ?

Can anyone tell me if John got out from Poole on the Sunday with you guys ? Sorry i didnt make it but was rather aching from the previous day and ended being pampered by my lovely wife - HEE HEE !!!!!!!!

- 'TODAY' - Had a VHF course booked to run down at Warsash and boy was i in for a shock when i got to the training centre! Hundreds of yachties all off on their way out to the Solent for start of racing - AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH, i thought.
I can just imagine how it felt last weekend now for all those of you who could not make the sat or sun trip out. After seeing this lot, i was not in the mood for classroom duties and sulked for an hour until i got into the swing of things - OH WELL.............. NEXT WEEK IS EASTER WEEKEND................. HOLD ON - just been reminded that its my brother-in-laws wedding next saturday aswell '@#*@*#*' 'I JUST CAN'T WIN' !

See you all again real soon - many thanks, John Hopkins.

ps - pls give a little help on posting my pics, got some gooduns. Have resized them and able to upload to this program, but then not sure how to get them onto the thread . . . . .cheers.

Hi John

If that was meant for this Jon.
No did not get out of Poole Harbour!
Was a cracking weekend put on by the RNLI and PBO.

Did not make the monthly gathering either, did not get into town till late.

The 11m was out in the Solent.
Not sure if the Mad Major came and found any of you.

He launches his new career in the Lake District this week.
Well just outside, place called Whitehaven
Whale, Dophin and sea life spotting trips.

I am going up over Easter to help out.
Should be great fun!
Really looking forward to it.
