Bruce and Co.

Never mind about that, it's a well known trap in Ryde sands. You aren't the first and you won't be the last.
Looks like you turned to try to get out. Unfortunatly, as you now know, it gets shallower as you head for the main channel. Knowing that the yellow bouy (SW Mining Ground) 100 yards away is in at least 7m of water really gets to you.
If anyone else goes there, DONT go North or West.

Nice meeting you earlier.

What was the delay with the last three boats Inc Misses on the Sunday. I was with Scooby Doo motoring along at a nice pace and we turnedaroundand nobody was to be seen. We had a broken NAV light so we were keen to get home and scooby turned back. What happened?

Excellent photos Bruce.
Slightly reminiscent of the Brambles bank Crikkit match ones from last year.

Glad you're all safe.

Andy,

No major problems - one of the boats ran out of fuel & I think Ian in "Jaws" the Pacific had to do a bit of ship-to-ship refuelling.

Ian.

Edit: too slow

Thanks for all the positive feedback and very kind comments. It's brill reading the messages. Really appreciated. We're tired () but delighted that so many peeps got together and had so much fun

We thought it was an ambitious plan going to Yarmouth on a windy wintry day but were amazed when some peeps carried on to the Needles and when the intrepid pair of Team Simmons and Team Brucehawkser headed off round the Island as well! (Pity it wasn't a few degrees warmer for your beach stop but love the photos )

Some truly gorgeous photos coming out and there's still a stash by another talented photographer to come.

Yep sorry Andy ..someone ran out of fuel in the middle of the Solent so DJL and I stayed on standby on Zeb and Bumblebee 'till the guys got the job sorted. Anyway you're waaaaaaaaaaay too fast Faster than a paintball

Ian Austin has 'phoned from Weymouth. It's been a successful trip so far for him ! Ian and the Pac have been real stars as usual this weekend. Safe home mate.

I would just like to echo the words of many others on here and say a massive
thank you to everyone...even those I didn't get round to meeting!

I had an absolutely fantastic weekend and it was great to get away from the
stress of uni projects. A few highlights included the blast on Jetski John's
155hp beast, the bugle billy experience (including using their a-frame as a
photo platform and getting all 4 tons airbourne!), driving scooby doo (thats
me driving in andy s's shot...yeeeehaaa!), saturday night's drinking games,
meeting new folk, getting some good shots, and setting off from calshot in
the company of over 30 others RIBs...unforgetable!

I would like to direct some special thanks to:

Jetski John (Stroker1) for the superb blast on the jetski...what a machine,
I'm hooked!

Dennis and Fossil for the luxury ride from calshot to yarmouth on sat (sorry I didn't get any pics of the ribeye, I thought you were coming down to the needles!)

Pete7 for the hospitality on sat night and the tour of the yard (garden!)

DJL for the usual ribbing hospitality

Bogi for the mini brenivin (keeping it for a special occasion!)

Daniel and co in Top Banana for the ride from somewhere to hythe. Nice boat that!

Stu and crew for the bugle billy experience and photo platform (i'll have a think about the design for that harness stu)! Didn't thank you on the day, too busy not falling over the side when transfering to top banana, so cheers guys!

Jackeens for the excellent organisation

Ian and Martin in scooby doo for the great ride and drive (good to meet you guys thanks for letting me loose on the helm!)

And finally everyone for being great photography subjects!

Really sorry if i've missed anyone out, but so many people need thanking that its difficult to remember everything!

JK, didn't realise that was you in bugle billy! I'm a bit slow sometimes

I have over 250 pics to sort out but will try and post some as soon as I can. Most will probably go up on my site at www.elementphoto.co.uk in a couple of weeks.

Bruce, I have a few of you, I'll try and email you some jpegs.

Thanks once again everyone.

Cheers

Tim
