Myself & missus, we will be travelling down early on the sat morn from hertfordshire About 2 1/2 hrs drive , will meet you all at slip way, what is the weather we should be looking for eg wind speed, direction etc as not been down that way befor? Boat honwave 4mtr +25 hp. Peter i don't have your tel no pls can you pm me?

Glad to see another honwave coming, got mine wet for the first time this weekend, took it to salcombe fishing boat was good but the fishing was s**t

I expect anywind direction except straight easterly or ENE will give us good shelter in the Solent , any anything up to a F4 will be enjoyable / fun - more than that and it will get ' exciting/ wet' .

The majority of the trip is in the lee of Hurst spit , with the only gap being where the wind and waves can run straight though Hurst Castle in a SW wind, but even then by the time you get to Yarmouth it usually calms down.
