Internet connection fixed......Yippy!

See you guys at Haslar at about 10:30ish. Olly can't make it as he thought we were going on Sunday One of my mates is going to a toy fair and another of my regulars is looking after his kids whilst his missus is on holiday to Egypt and Sister can't make it back in time.

So knobby no mates tomorrow.

I'm glad fuel's dropped in the last week, if I filled up two weeks ago it would have cost me 20 more

However XD 50's gone up from 28 to 35 Need to find a cheaper supply.

See you all tomorrow.

Engine screwed ( again) so went no-where. Saw 250 launch as I took theplugs out ! One has been x threaded at some point so I have 5 new & one old plugs in it ! Now with RIBs marine for lift/ service & store. Limited by smaller boat to 'local' winter outings - I knew I needed 2 RIBS !

Blackroady: sorry you couldn't make it and sympathies for the engine. Hope its fixed soon and look forward to meeting you.

Otherwise a great day out:

Nos + Doggypaddle: sorry I missed saying goodbye. I thought you were coming to Newtown Creek with the others but appreciate that you had had an earlier start than the rest and hope you had good recovery and trip back. Will see you again I'm sure!

Trip out: glorious - trip back: interesting! Had one wave break over the boat and many hard landings. My knees may never be the same again! Spoilt only by a stroppy National Trust warden who claimed that I'd nearly swamped a dinghy wih my wash. I never saw a dinghy (so perhaps I did !) but none of the others saw it either and I don't think my wash was excessive - the others (who were following) please feel free to comment!

Here's some pictures (if I can figure how to do it!):

Blackroady, I wish you had come over and said hello. I did see you, but as you appeared to be recovering, rather than launching, I did not think it was you! Doh... Sorry to hear of your troubles, the guys at Ribsmarine are good and no doubt will sort for you.

A fab ride over from Christchurch 40kts+, apart from the quick look in to Newtown Creek. Where on the exit we picked up a rope around the prop. A great pub and meal, thanks guys. I am sorry we had to leave early, but both my crew and I had prior engagments later in the afternoon. We too, went via the Needles and the return leg over the rip was entertaining to say the least. Still to get back still dry means you we not trying hard enough.

One more end of season blast anyone ..
Steve
