Perhaps jump leads should be standard kit on Open 60s. Here's one of Mike Perham being towed (by me in the blue RIB) into Portsmouth when he finished his round the world trip. They couldn't get the motor going! (Did have a good tow rope however!)

I'll be out tomorrow, launching from Hamble, and no real plan. Going over to see Alex Thomson's return sounds like a good idea so may head over for that.

We will arrive at the slipway at about 09:30 and launch by 10am

We will aim to be at the black and white Harbour Masters pontoon in the Hamble at around 10:20 - 10:30.
