Solent Christmas Jolly to The Folly - [Rescheduled] Sunday 16 December 2007

(It has been a balmy weekend indeed! but students in Pompey have begun migrating to warmer Southsea for the winter and some newbie WAFIs need plenty notice of outings so they can hoist the mainsail and batten down the hatches before setting sail from Gosport to Cowes…)

So with an eye to rapidly filling diaries the suggestion was made yesterday that it’s time to start planning the annual cold-weather blast to The Folly (up the Medina from Cowes).

Here is the suggested date : Sunday 9th December 2007. With Sunday 16th December in reserve in case of Solent Hurricanes.

So if you’re not putting the boat / yourself under wraps for the chillier season ahead, put your name down and come along!

For an idea of last year’s carry on have a dekko here

(Christmas) Carry On Up The Folly 2006

Mad Photos kicked off by Slimtim will bring back some happy memories! Have a look here!

RIBnet Cruising advice here

And if you’re between boats, send us a pm so we can try to blag a spin for you!

Ridiculous Crimbo outfits are dress code by now !

Excellent!

Andy & Neil H the aspiration is currently for the ninth unless weather forbids! Hopefully that suits you both?

Nasher and trusty crew

Matt & Liz

Nauti Buoy & Carnival Float

PhilB Look forward to seeing the new monster !

Chris that's great!

Pimping the boats...well you can all see the heights of good taste achieved last year if you click on the Slimtim link in the first post!

Stick the names down and we'll do a list at some stage.

I'm up for it, but I was up for the Priory Bay and End of summer trips and weather or birthdays cocked them up for me

So I hope I will be able to make this one, third time lucky.

Neil you've got to look after that work-life balance. Pm the gArfish for tips

Peter it would be great to meet the mighty entourage again

Andy that's great news!

Yes, definitely hoping for some unusually good weather again but shure we'll party on regardless.

Clear those diaries and don't hesitate to join in!
